A walk through Eastern Seoul...
Today we went to a Cherry Blossom Festival at the Walker Hill Hotel in eastern Seoul. I'll post pictures of that in due course after I clear the backlog of some other posts that I want to make. Anyhow, when it came time to go home there wasn't enough space in the car for me and instead of taking the shuttle bus I decided to walk to Gangbyeon Station instead as I've never been out around this area before.
Unfortunately it started raining after about 5 minutes so it wasn't the pleasant stroll I had banked on. I started off at the Walker Hill Hotel looking down on the Han River and across to Gangdong-Gu.
Looking at the Gangbyeon Expressway, there wasn't much traffic today. For those of you that don't know, this motorway runs along the north side of the Han river across Seoul and for large parts of it is built on stilts in the river itself...
From then on, it was a stroll through the wind and rain with me struggling to hold on to my umbrella. This left me disinclined to take photos until I came across this restaurant near Gangbyeon Station, which is built like a ship.
From there, it was a just a few minutes around the corner and on to the subway home.
